Rough Ryder’s “Cooper Bolster” Fish Knife is a beautiful classic pocket knife that will only get better with age. The smooth bone handle has copper pins, liners, bolsters, and a copper shield that all look great out of the box. The bolsters have an embossed ring and the base bolster has a lanyard bail. Over time, the oils in your hand alter the patina of the copper and give it true character unique to your knife.
The “Copper Bolster” Fish Knife has two 440A stainless steel blades, one clip point, and fish bone saw. Both blades have a blackwash finish for a rugged look and contrast with the copper bolsters. The pinched bolsters feature an embossed ring, with three rings on the base bolster, and an R on the front bolster. Each blade opens with a match strike pull. Unlike a standard nail nick or long pull, a match strike pull has serrations inside the groove of the pull. These serrations allow you to strike a match with your knife. The blades use the half stops and slip joints found in traditional pocketknives.
This knife follows a fish knife pattern. Alongside the slim clip point blade, this knife has a fish bone saw with a built in cap remover. The end of the saw also has a magnetic disgorger and a ruler printed on the spine. The shield has been replaced with a hook sharpener.
The “Copper Bolster” Fish Knife is a perfect knife for a collector, or for use as an everyday carry. The copper and bone handle complements the blackwash blades right out of the box, and with use it becomes a one-of-a-kind knife unique to you.
