The Rough Rider “Don’t Tread On Me” Stockman is an excellent gift for any collector in your family. The roots of the coiled rattlesnake “don’t tread on me” image date back to the early days of the American Revolution. Attributed to South Carolina statesman Charles Gadsden, it was used as a flag by the early colonial navy. This knife features a 3″ clip point blade, 2.125″ sheepsfoot blade, and 2″ spey blade made of sturdy 440A Stainless Steel. The blades are housed in a bright yellow smooth bone handle depicting the iconic coiled rattlesnake and phrase “Don’t Tread On Me”. Bone is a natural handle material prone to cracking. therefore, some knives may have cracks near the pins or bolsters. Some handles hold dyed material differently.
