Rough Ryder’s “Cooper Bolster” Cub Lockback is a beautiful classic pocket knife that will only get better with age. The smooth bone handle has copper pins, liners, bolsters, and a copper shield that all look great out of the box. The bolsters have pinched ends and an embossed ring, and the shield has the double R Rough Ryder logo. Over time, the oils in your hand alter the patina of the copper and give it true character unique to your knife.
The “Copper Bolster” Cub Lockback has a single 440A stainless steel blade. The blade has a blackwash finish for a rugged look and contrast with the copper bolsters. The pinched bolsters feature an embossed ring. Each blade opens with a match strike pull. Unlike a standard nail nick or long pull, a match strike pull has serrations inside the groove of the pull. These serrations allow you to strike a match with your knife.
This knife is a lockback, and as the name suggests, it locks in the open position. The blade is closed by releasing the lock on the back spacer of the knife. This knife features a wide spear point blade, which is perfect for piercing or slicing tasks. The lowered point of the blade is controllable and useful for fine tip work.
The “Copper Bolster” Cub Lockback is a perfect knife for a collector, or for use as an everyday carry. The copper and bone handle complements the blackwash blades right out of the box, and with use it becomes a one-of-a-kind knife unique to you.
