Rough Ryder’s “Classic Carbon” Utility Linerlock is a pocket knife with yellow composition handles. The handles also feature nickel silver pins, a special Classic Carbon shield, and brass liners.
The “Bolster Stripes” Sowbelly has a single polished T10 carbon steel clip point blade. The carbon steel used in these knives is easily sharpened, but prone to rust. It is best to keep the blades well maintained and clean, and frequently oiled. This knife features a smooth handle, without bolsters or an external locking mechanism. The blade opens with a match strike pull. Unlike a standard nail nick or long pull, a match strike pull has serrations inside the groove of the pull. These serrations allow you to strike a match with your knife. The blade locks with a liner lock.
This knife is a clip point linerlock knife. The clip point blade has many uses, both everyday household tasks and more rigorous work duties. The ability of this knife to lock makes it safer for more demanding or precise tasks. The linerlock holds the knife open with a tab inside the handle, and is released by pushing the liner back into place out of the blade’s way.
The “Classic Carbon” Utility Linerlock is a perfect knife for a collector, or for use as an everyday carry. The yellow composition handles combined with the pins and shield give this knife a timeless appearance. With more than ten patterns in this series, it doesn’t get much more traditional than this.
